While he acknowledged that Tesla’s sales could be affected by this, he also said that the sustainable energy output would not immediately make up for the loss of Russian oil and gas exports.

Russia is one of the biggest producers of crude oil and natural gas worldwide, accounting for roughly 10% of global supply and 40% for the European Union. Relations between Russia and many countries, including those who buy its energy supplies, have been strained by the war.
