Cowboys For Trump Founders Were Convicted On January 6 Of Entering Restricted U.S. Capitol Grounds
The “Cowboys for Trump” organization founder and the Commissioner of Otero County in New Mexico were found guilty of entering restricted U.S. Capitol grounds January 6,. However, he was not convicted of another misdemeanor of disorderly conduct.
On Tuesday, Judge Trevor McFadden ruled that Couy Griffin was guilty of illegally entering Capitol grounds near then-Vice President Mike Page . Mike Pence was present in the Capitol building in order to certify the count of the Electoral College vote and remained inside the Capitol complex throughout the riot.
According to the United States Secret Service Inspector, Pence was taken Monday to an underground loading platform located beneath the Capitol Building as the attack unfolded. After a long day of negotiations between the United States Capitol Police Board and prosecutors, video of Pence’s movements during January 6 was made available to the Court.
McFadden found Griffin innocent of the second disorderly conduct charge. He said Tuesday Griffin’s attempt at getting the crowd to pray with “arguably” him was not disorderly but an attempt to calm down the crowd.
