It was found at 10,000 feet depth, four miles away from its last known location.

Nearly 10,000 feet below the surface, the wreckage of Ernest Shackleton’s Endurance, the ship that carried him to Antarctica in 1915, was discovered.

The Falklands Maritime Heritage trust mounted a search expedition and called it Endurance 22. They released a press release announcing the discovery on March 8th.
