A Texas legislator warned Citigroup he would introduce legislation to stop the bank from underwriting state municipal bonds unless the bank rescinds its expense policy. Yelp, its chief diversity officer Miriam Warren, stated that while “backlash” gets a lot of attention, they are not worried about how the program will be received. Yelp has received numerous personal messages from her and other executives thanking them for their stand on abortion.

Yelp will benefit from this move as more companies compete for talent in a competitive labor market, Ms. Warren stated. She stated that “We want to attract and retain employees no matter where they may be located.”

 She said, “It is essential to have the ability to manage your reproductive health and decide if you want to have children.”
