Video of Tsunami-Like Clouds Making a Neighborhood Viral Today

Some users associate the arcus clouds as a nightmare or apocalyptic scenario. Others believe the phenomenon is similar to the iconic scene in Christopher Nolan’s sci fi film ‘Interstellar’.

Many others also testified that they experienced this kind of atmospheric anomaly. Some even said they saw similar waves in the sky to what the video showed, UNILAD reports.

Thunderstorm Creates Arcus Clouds

Naturally, arcus clouds form when thunderstorms occur. The storm’s center is where the wave-like features of the clouds are found. Here, the power of thunderstorms is generated when cooler air collides and warmer molecules.

Many enthusiasts believe the video was recorded in Cincinnati, Ohio. The video was shared online along with several other images and recordings by other people to confirm its authenticity.

Cincinnati experienced heavy rains throughout the month. Storm clouds followed. The natural calamity caused damage to trees and property across the city.

Monday’s state report indicated that roughly 90,000 people suffered power outages due to storms and bettering rains.

Duke Energy, Cincinnati’s largest supplier of electricity, said Wednesday that the blackouts and power disruptions were caused by the severe storms that struck the city over the course of the week.

While the power grids and trees suffered heavy damage, many neighborhoods were restored to their power supply, the company said.

According to Met Office. Arcus cloud could grow up to 6,500 feet high and appear as a wedge, or as a moving horizontal column.
