Tony Dow, The Star of ‘Leave It to Beaver,’ Is Currently in Hospice Care, His Son Said.

Dow’s management team started earlier Tuesday that the actor had been killed in a Facebook post.

However, the post has been removed.

Lauren Shulkind, Dow’s wife, provided the “false” information to his management team. His son explained it to Fox News Digital. According to TMZ, Dow’s wife was “very distraught” because she believed her husband was dead. Dow’s management was informed by her.

Christopher also posted an update on Facebook. He wrote: “This can be a very difficult time.” Dad is in hospice care and at home. Along with many of his friends who have visited, my wife and I are there for him. He is a fighter.”

Shulkind, who was 77 years old at the time, announced in May that his cancer had returned.

Shulkind shared the following: “Dear friends, fans of Tony Dow. I have some very sad news for you.” “Unfortunately, Tony was once more diagnosed with cancer. This is a very heartbreaking reality that he is facing with courage.

“We would like to thank you for your kind words. Our Love, Lauren & Tony.”

In “Leave it to Beaver,” Dow was a star alongside Jerry Mathers and Barbara Billingsley. Originally, the show ran six seasons on CBS before being moved to ABC.

The actor was a part of the reunion show “Still the Beaver” and the sequel series “The New Leave It to Beaver”.

Dow is also well-known for his roles in “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”, and “Babylon 5”.
