Space Photos Show The Secrets of Our Universe

On Monday, President Joe Biden presented the most detailed and sharpest infrared photo of our universe ever taken. This is just one of the earliest full-color images taken by NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, the largest space telescope ever constructed. On Tuesday morning, more images will be available.

Webb will change the way we see space, and in essence, our view of the universe. This is not all. These images demonstrate Webb’s ability to find signs of life on other planets and show that Webb is not a novice at this task. The telescope’s extraordinary sensitivity will allow scientists to understand many of the outstanding open questions regarding how stars form. It will also bring into clarity galaxies and stars in a way that we have never seen before. This telescope will provide all the information you need, from new-forming stars to black holes that are being devoured by other black holes.

We discovered 100 years ago that the Milky Way was only one of many galaxies in our universe. Webb has a remarkable understanding of the millions of galaxies making up the cosmos.

Each Webb image is a new discovery. Webb’s ingenuity serves as a reminder of the possibilities when people work together to benefit humanity.
