Netflix suspended its service in Russia as a protest against the country’s invasion of Ukraine.
The streaming service announced earlier this week that it would stop all future acquisitions and projects from Russia. This joins a growing number of companies who have severed ties to Russia. Netflix had four Russian originals, including one crime thriller series by Dasha Zhuk. It was currently in production and has been placed on hold. Netflix recently decided not to broadcast 20 Russian propaganda channels it was legally required to.
