Netflix ensures Squid Game Season 2: “The Squid Game Universe has Just Begun”
According to Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer and co-CEO, the Squid Game universe is just beginning.

Sarandos confirmed today that Netflix’s most viewed series will be returning for another season. It was a confirmation of earlier statements made by Hwang Do-hyuk. Variety says that Sarandos made the remarks during Netflix’s fourth-quarter 2021 earnings interview. Sarandos was being asked about the show’s future.
“Absolutely,” Sarandos said. “The Squid Game universe only just started.”
Squid Game is a hit streaming show and IGN’s best TV program of 2021. Last year, it reached a mind-boggling 214 million subscribers. It features a battle royale with 456 contestants who are forced to play children’s games for large prizes and their lives.
Hwang Donghyuk had previously confirmed that SquidGame would be returning. And he even stated that talks were underway for the 3rd season. Seong Gihun will be the main character.
Hwang stated that he would promise him this: Gi-hun will return. He will do some good things for the whole world.
Sarandos couldn’t give a date for the second season of Squid Game Season 2.
