NASA: Artemis I Hardware Not Hurt by Hurricane, New Launch Window

NASA’s Artemis I lunar mission launch was stalled by Hurricane Ian. Now, the space agency has a new target to take off. According to NASA, the launch window for NASA’s bold plan of returning humans to the moon’s surface is now open on Nov. 12 and closes on Nov. 27.

This news comes as NASA had to cancel the scheduled Artemis I Launch on Sunday, October 2. NASA rolled its huge Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft back inside the Vehicle Assembly Building at Florida’s Kennedy Space Center on Monday as Hurricane Ian threatened Cuba and Florida with rain and strong winds.
