She stressed that her daughters were not social media celebrities or influencers to be ignored by the paparazzi. She assured the outlet that her daughters are not social media celebrities.

Obama also affirmed that Obama’s daughters were not looking for publicity

Obama revealed that the girls were the victims of intense stalking following the publication of her book The Light That We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times.

Michelle began her book tour on Nov. 15 with a stop at the capital.

She admitted that it was difficult for her to dig too deeply into lessons she’s learned as a parent because she wanted to protect the privacy and well-being of her girls.

She said, “You need to be careful about how much information you give them about their lives and how often you expose them in the public eye. They don’t want the attention.”

“They don’t want to be followed just because their mom wrote books. “And I hope the media listens to me when I’m saying this,” she said.

She said that they aren’t seeking the light and that she had spoken out to confirm that her daughters had approved sections of the book about them.

She published a memoir in 2018 titled Becoming. This new book is her second.

It’s not hard to see that all of us have felt lost or untethered,” Obama said to People.
