Jan. 6 Panel Receives Emails That An Ex-Trump Lawyer Tried Shield
The House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack is looking at a collection of emails John Eastman (ex-lawyer to former President Trump) tried to keep secret. Federal Court documents filed Tuesday indicate.

Why it Matters: A total of 101 emails were sent between January 4 and 7, according to new filings.
The email collection was turned over to the committee by a judge who ruled that Eastman did not adequately prove attorney-client privilege in order to prevent their release.
