Emilia Clarke Shares Her Story About Surviving Two Brain Aneurysms.
Clarke said, “The amount my brain is no longer usable — It’s amazing that I can speak, sometimes articulate, and live my whole life normally with absolutely zero repercussions.” Clarke stated, “I am among the very, really, very few people who can do that.”
Clarke also recalled seeing scans of her brain following the incidents.
Clarke stated, “There’s quite some missing,” before breaking into a huge chuckle. Clarke said, “Which always makes it laugh… Strokes basically means that if any part of your brain isn’t getting blood for a second it’s gone.” The blood then finds another route, and whatever is left is lost.
Clarke created a charity to help stroke and brain injury victims, SameYou. However, she has accepted her current medical condition and put behind her medical problems.
“I thought, “Well, this is who I am.” Clarke stated, “This is the brain you have.”
Clarke also spoke about her role in “The Seagull,” a show that opened on July 6.
Clarke said, “It was a great opportunity to play Nina (in ‘The Seagull”) on the West End stage, with Jamie Lloyd, an acclaimed, applauded and applauded amazing director — it’s a kinda profound experience… It’s daring to take such a well-known play and put it in such modern, stripped-back and naked format,” Clarke added. It’s why theater exists. It’s so thrilling.”
