Elon Musk Has Declared that SpaceX’s Starlink Satellites Are Now Active over Ukraine
SpaceX has successfully launched over 2,000 Starlink satellites in orbit since 2018 and plans to launch as many as 12,000 more as part of its high speed internet network.
Putin’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine has left some areas without internet. SpaceX, however, has launched thousands communications satellites to provide broadband access to remote parts of the globe.
“Starlink service now active in Ukraine. “More terminals are on the way,” the entrepreneur tweeted Saturday.
This was after the vice prime minister of Ukraine urged Musk to assist them, since fiber-optic cables isn’t mendatory for SpaceX .
SpaceX sells a kit that allows users to access broadband signals from the ground.
Twitter was used by Mr Fedorov to express gratitude to SpaceX boss for his prompt action.
Starlink terminals will soon be available in Ukraine. He tweeted, “Thank you (Elon Musk), thank-you everyone who supported Ukraine!”
