Camila Alves McConaughey is raising her family in the Lone Star State — and she wouldn’t have it any other.

With their three children, Levi, Vida, 12, and Livingston, 9, the founder of Women of Today, Matthew McConaughey, calls Austin, Texas, home to her husband. Born in Uvalde Texas, the actor is 52.

Fox News Digital spoke to the author of children’s books that she and her family are happy to live outside Hollywood. In fact, they love it.

The 40-year old shared that “it’s been great.” It really embodies our belief system. I remember going to church every Sunday and saying ‘yes ma’am,’ or ‘no sir.’ My family was farmers so I know these things. Being from Brazil, I found a lot of similarities between Texas and Brazil in terms of how families live here. This included going to church every Sunday and being very interested in the outdoors. It has been a wonderful transition.
